Supreme Skylights Newport wants anyone to be able to read about rooflights, check the rules and ask for a quote on this website, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This statement covers the site at supremeskylightsnewport.co.uk.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. The site was built with that standard in mind and checked against it during the build. An independent accessibility audit has yet to be carried out, so some issues may remain that our own testing missed.
What we have done
- Each page declares British English, so screen readers use the right voice.
- Headings follow a logical order, and a skip link at the top lets keyboard users jump straight to the main content.
- Menus, links, buttons and question-and-answer sections work with a keyboard. The question-and-answer sections open without JavaScript.
- Text and background colours have been chosen with contrast in mind, on both the light and dark parts of the site.
- Images carry text alternatives, and purely decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages can be zoomed and the layout adapts to small screens without sideways scrolling.
- Animation is kept light, and we aim to respect the reduced-motion setting on your device.
Known limitations
Some parts of the site are not fully accessible yet, or rely on services we do not build:
- The quote form is a third-party embed from our CRM provider, loaded in a frame. Its labels, error messages and keyboard behaviour are controlled by that provider, and we cannot guarantee they meet WCAG 2.1 AA. You can send the same details by email or WhatsApp instead.
- The service area map on the contact page is visual. The towns we cover are listed as text on our areas page.
- WhatsApp buttons take you to an external service, whose accessibility is the responsibility of its owner.
- Some long tables in our guides may be harder to follow with a screen reader on a small screen.

Please describe the page, what you were trying to do and the device or assistive technology you were using. We will reply and, where we can, fix the problem or send the information another way.

This statement was prepared on 28 October 2026, based on our own testing of the site during its build. We will review it when the site changes significantly.
